Super special. How so full of thought both you and Jeremy are in raising your children.

And back to you, Irene! Thanks for being part of our circle of support. I'll address the piano "question" in a future post.

I just got around to reading this entry today, 12/19/21 - a little late. However, I had to tell you how thoughtfully and beautifully written this is and as well as how you treat Jeremy. Both of my children were classified and had IEPs. One for only a few years and the other through college. While neither of them had autism, they each had difficult and multiple diagnoses and working through the local school was often rewarding, challenging, discouraging, frustrating, encouraging, and helpful. I found that never letting up on the school situation was key and outside intervention was required where I wanted greater expertise than the school offered. Sometimes I felt that the school took a cookie cutter approach with our special children and then I would really go into overdrive explaining and asking for programs from them. I researched like crazy as I am sure that you do also.

He did graduate from RPI with a degree in Physics and he thanked me for my tenacity. That is to say that there is often light at the end of the tunnel, but sometimes it's a long tunnel. Good luck with all you do for all of your children and if you ever want talk I am available.
